Quick and easy dish but so delicious and healthy. Beginners can easily follow this recipe.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of mushrooms (mixed variety or button) sliced
2 tbsp light soy sauce
3 cloves of garlic minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 block of firm tofu ( cut into cubes or sliced according to ur preference)
1 tsp cornstarch ( for tofu)
1 tbsp light soy sauce ( for tofu)
1 tsp sesame oil
Sesame seeds optional
1 stalk spring onion chopped
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
METHOD
1. Clean and wash the mushroom then drain and set aside.
2. Pat dry the tofu with paper towel and toss with salt, pepper, soy sauce and corn starch. Set aside.
3. In a bowl mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar then set aside.
4. In a wok heat enough oil to pan fry the tofu. Cook it in single layer until.one side of tofu turn into brown then flip over slowly to cook the other side. Set aside.
5. In same wok saute the garlic until fragrant then add in the mushroom cook it without stirring until.it turns to brown. Add in the bok choy stir well let it cook for 2 minutes and then pour in the soy sauce mixture and the tofu, toss and cook for 30 seconds or until the sauce becomes slightly thickened. Put in the spring onion and toss again.
6. Transfer into a serving plate garnish with sesame seeds and serve with steam rice.
