This is a quick dish for your family.This will surely build you kids appetite.With the sweet and sour taste of the sauce.Kids cannot resist id they tasted the pineapple chuncks in the dish.
INGREDIENTS
500 g ground beef
1 tbsp salt
1tsp pepper
4 cloves garlic minced
2 tsp onion powder
1 egg
1 tsp cornstarch
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp water
Oil for frying
FOR THE SAUCE
1/2 cup pineapple juice
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar (Plus more according to your taste)
1 red or green bellpepper
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 large onion quartered
1 big carrots sliced
2 tbsp soysauce
1/2 tsp pepper
Salt to taste
1/3 cup vinegar
1 cup water
METHOD
1. In a big bowl mix the ground beef, onion powder, salt, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, cornstarch, pepper, water. Mix it thoroughly to combine.
2. In a pan heat the oil in medium heat.Scoop 1 to 2 tbsp of the mixture and form a ball shaped on it and pan fry until it turns the outer part to brown.
3. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
4. In a wok heat oil in medium heat.When the oil is ready saute the onion for 2 mins.Then add in the carrots and bellpepper cook for 2mins.Add in the pineapple chunks stir and cook for 2min then add in the water, vinegar, pineapple juice, tomato ketchup, brown sugar, soysauce stir well and simmer for 3 mins.Pour in the cornstarch diluted in water stir well and cook until the desired thickness reached.Season with salt and pepper.
5.Transfer to a serving plate garnish with spring onion.
