Batang Fish in Turmeric and Lemongrass






This is a very simple dish.In just 20 minutes you will have a dlicious and healthy dish to serve to your family.In Philippines its nice to serve with plain rice or with garlic friedrice.


INGREDIENTS
500 g Batang fish (you can use also blue marlin or tanigue fish)
1 stick lemon grass finely chopped
6 cloves of garlic minced
Salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 slice of ginger finely chopped
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup soysauce
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp turmeric powder


METHOD
1. Wash the fish and pat dry with paper towel.

2. Season the fish with salt and set aside for t minutes.

3. In a pan arrange the fish and put in the garlic,lemongrass and ginger.Then pour in the turmeric powder, vinegar,water,soysauce then season with pepper.Cover andcook it for 15mins or untjl the liquid reduced already then pour in the oil and cook for 1minute.

4. Transfer to a serving plate.
