INGREDIENTS
3 cups all purpose flour
2.5 tsp active yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
3/4 cup warm water
2-3 tbsp oil
3 tbsp of butter or ghee for brushing
1/3 cup greek plain yogurt in room temperature
METHODS
* Combine flour,yeast,salt in a large bowl.Mix in the yogurt and oil.Add lityle water at a time mix all the ingredients together until u get a pliable dough.
* Knead the dough for 5mins or until smooth.This make the dough pliable and easy to roll.
* Cover and set aside in a warm place for 1hr or until the dough doubled the size
*Meanwhile,preheat the oven to 250C for about 40minutes placing the large baking tray in the bottom rack OR
* To roast Naan on a skillet for 5minutes on a medium flame
* Punch down the dough then divide it into 12 equal portions
* To make Naan roll out each portion of dough on a loghtly floured surface into a round shape.
OVEN
Brush 2 Naans sparingly with bitter and place on a hot baking tray for about 2minutes until puffed and lightly golden along the edges.Remove tray flip naans brush with bitter on the other side and cook for another 30seconds.
SKILLET
Place naan on a hot skillet and roast for anout 15seconds until bubbles appear.Flip and roast other side for 15 more seconds.Brush naan all over with butter or ghee on each side flip again to roast for 5 -10 seconds on each side..
NOTE
place in a aluminum foil to keep it warm
